

Te Pou Hono ki Marae Ātea
Te Wharewānanga o Awanuiarangi
This marae-centred programme is designed to revitalise Te Reo, kawa, āhuatanga Māori and tikanga Māori. The course enables marae to bring together their whānau from around the country to learn from the collective knowledge held by kaumātua, hapū and iwi about the cultural, physical and spiritual wellbeing of mātauranga-ā-hapū and mātauranga-ā-iwi.

Are you interested in learning more about your hapū kōrero, marae and history? Our wānanga program with Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiarangi begins soon!
This course is delivered over 8 months, for one weekend each month. There is plenty of time for you to complete the self directed learning each month. There are 4 booklets with 2 assessments each. Basically you will complete one assessment at a time.

The check list will come up that gives tauira (students) details on how to upload any ID documents, etc, on the first page. On the next page you will need to enter the programme you would like to enrol into.
The next page will manage with your personal information and confirmation of you identity.Once you have completed the enrolment, it is sent directly to the Te Awanuiarangi database and uploaded into their system by the allocated Administrator for the course.
